Training with your dog is about creating a strong, positive relationship through consistent, effective communication. By using balanced training methods, we focus on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Training isn’t just about teaching commands—it's an opportunity to connect with your dog, reinforce good behavior, and address challenges in a way that strengthens your bond. As your dog learns and grows, so does your relationship, making it more fulfilling and rewarding for both of you. Whether it's through play, patience, or practice, every training session brings you closer together.
Our Trail to Manners class, based on the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) guidelines, use a balanced training methodology to teach your dog essential skills. This approach combines positive reinforcement with clear, consistent corrections to promote good behavior and a strong bond between you and your dog. Over the course of the class, your dog will learn foundational commands like sit, stay, come, and loose-leash walking, while building confidence and social skills. Our goal is to help you create a well-behaved, happy dog who is ready for real-world challenges.

Additional Information:
We want to maintain a calm atmosphere where dogs and owners get the most out of their instruction. That means silencing phones and paying attention as to not miss anything important.
There will be Homework: Each week you will be going home with things to work on in between classes.
Consistency is key! We will be available in between classes by email or phone for any questions or concerns.
There may be a need for us to suggest an alternate training tool. We will explain fully how to use them appropriately as well as where to purchase them.
