POLICIES
Health and Vaccination Requirements
- Policy Statement: All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Proof of vaccinations must be provided prior to admission and kept on file.
- Why: Protects all dogs in your care from contagious diseases and ensures the health and safety of everyone.
Flea and Tick Control
- Policy Statement: Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, or any external parasites. If signs of fleas or ticks are discovered, the dog may be treated at the owner's expense, or they may be sent home.
- Why: Prevents the spread of parasites to other dogs and ensures a clean environment.
Behavioral and Temperament Evaluation
- Policy Statement: All dogs must undergo a temperament evaluation before daycare or boarding to ensure compatibility with other dogs. It is the facility owner’s digression to refuse a dog for service. It is also the facility owner’s digression to place the dog in group play or individual based on the evaluation.
- Why: Ensures the safety of all dogs and staff, preventing conflicts and promoting a positive environment.
Overnight Boarding Behavior Policies
- Policy Statement: Dogs staying overnight must be comfortable with crate or kennel settings unless otherwise agreed upon. Staff will check on all dogs throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
- Why: Ensures that dogs are safe and secure while also considering their comfort needs.
Liability Waiver
- Policy Statement: Owners must sign a liability waiver that releases the daycare and boarding facility from responsibility for injury, illness, or damage that may occur while the dog is in the care of the facility, except in cases of negligence.
- Why: Protects your business from legal liability while ensuring dog owners understand the inherent risks involved.
Interaction and Play Policy
- Policy Statement: Dogs will interact in groups based on size, temperament, and behavior. Play will be supervised, and staff will step in if necessary to prevent rough play or any signs of aggression. Any dog that repeatedly disrupts play or displays aggressive tendencies will be removed from the group will be moved to an individual play program.
- Why: Ensures that all dogs enjoy safe, appropriate social interactions and that unwanted behavior is addressed promptly.
Payment Policy
- Policy Statement Payments are due by drop off on day of booking. Anything not paid by owner will be charged to card on file. There must be an active credit card on file through the booking system.
- Any additional charges incurred during the dogs stay will be charged at pickup ex: late fees, destruction of beds, medication administration, use of in house food.
- Why: This ensures the business gets paid for services rand time offered on that day of service
Cancellation and Refund Policies
- Policy Statement: Cancellations must be made at least 12-24 hours in advance for daycare, and 7 days for boarding on major holiday weeks and summer months. This includes:February recess, Spring break, Easter Week, June to August, Thankgiving week and Christmas to New Years.
- There will be a non-refundable deposit on one night stay for all boarding bookings.
- Why: Protects the business from lost revenue due to last-minute cancellations or no-shows.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times
- Policy Statement: Designated drop-off and pick-up times must be adhered to for the sake of schedule and staffing. Late fees may apply for pick-up after closing hours.
- Daycare Drop-off: 6-930am
- Daycare Pickup: 415-630pm
- Boarding Drop-off: 415-630pm
- Boarding Pickup: 6-930am
- Late fee of $15 for dropff and pickup outside set window
- Why: Helps with staffing and ensures smooth operation.
Please try to make sure if you are booked for before 7am that you come at that time. We start feeding and running dogs early and if we are expecting people early we need to plan to adjust for drop offs the night before
Quiet Time and Rest Periods
- Policy Statement: Dogs will be given quiet time between 12-2pm to rest and relax during the day. This helps manage over-excitement and ensures they don’t get overstimulated or exhausted.
- Why: Provides balance and prevents behavioral problems that can arise from overactivity.
Food
- Policy Statement: Food Must be pre-measured and labeled in baggies for easy feeding.
- $5.oo charge will be added for any food that is not bagged, frozen meals or if the dog needs to be fed house food.
- Why: easier to store and ensures the dog gets the correct food/amount of food
Personal Belongings
- Policy Statement: Personal belongings, such as beds, toys, or blankets, are NOT allowed
- Why: this ensures the health and safety of the dogs during their stay
Photo and Video Permission
- Policy Statement: Owners must give permission for photos or videos of their dog to be taken during their stay. These images may be used for promotional purposes, social media, or advertising.
- Why: Increases transparency and helps build trust while promoting the business.
